This tutorial is an introduction to eye tracking with a focus on studies with children. After covering some basics about this measurement technique, we will present different eye tracking paradigms (looking while listening, anticipatory eye movements, visual world, pupillometry) and classic papers.

We will discuss the details of designing and conducting an eye tracking experiment on the basis of many examples of studies with children. This part will also cover the issues connected to testing different populations: younger and older children, children and adults with and without (language) impairments.

By looking at the data of a large number of studies, we will discuss the different eye tracking measures (gaze, fixations, latencies) that can be used for analyses, as well as the different analysis possibilities.
